Debate.

Hello everybody! Hope everything's okay. It is for me. Um, yeah. Moving right along, I had my first Debate Tournament yesterday. I didn't do too well because It was my first one. I'm only sure I won one and that was because she had replaced a guy that had cancelled the day before and she had to work with what he had, which wasn't very much (those of you who were in debate will understand what I'm talking about next.) We were doing Lincoln Douglas Debate. Her value was 'Nhilism', which she defined as, 'Nothing Matters.' Her Criterion was, 'Random Chance'. We were talking about Nuclear Weapons. Nuclear Weapons. I felt so bad for her. My coach said it was one of the worst ones she had ever seen. And she's a Varsity. She wanted to run and fix it right there. It was all fun though, even though most of us stunk the place up because we were mostly novices. Including the coaches, we have approximatly 15 people at most. about 7 are varsitys. It was still fun because we all get along with eachother great and were able to talk and hang out most of the time. It was great. If you look back later I'll be getting some pictures and put them with this post.

I feel -spaced out-

Post 70

Well what d' ya know. 70 posts in and look at how the blog has changed. I've put quite a lot of work into this thing and it turned out great. I'm so happy (sniff).

               High School has been going for about a week 1/2 now. Or more. I'm not sure. I lost track of time. It feels like this is the first time I've really sat down not for school in a long time. This is how my schedule turned out.

'A' day

1st: Seminary

2nd: Chemistry Honors

3rd: Language arts Honors

4th: Debate

'B' day

5th: Health

6th: Drivers Ed

7th: Algebra 2 

8th: A.P. European History

          Everybody told me how great it was and Nobody told how stressful it would be. Thanks for nothin nobody. It has been fun though. I have great teachers and an even greater Debate class. I love it.  The Debate 2 class is teaching Debate 1. I can't really explain it but it's awesome. I like the longer class periods. I wish they did it in middle school.

Happy Friday the 13th!

Yeah I know it's a little late, I was about to do it on Friday the 13th but I diddn't have enough free time.

           The Summer is finally beginning to draw to a close. Many things have happened, good and bad, but I have been able to enjoy every second of it. I've been able to do everything I wanted to, needed to, and had to, and have fun doing it. Now it's on to highschool, turning 16 in November, and everything that comes with it.
Frankly, I'm not excited at all. People keep saying all that stuff is going to be 'so fun' and 'the best time of my life' but they never tell me how or why. If anybody could tell me anything, please comment.

Anderson Family Reunion 2010

          Recently the (title) happened at my grandparents house next door. These are always fun and enjoyable despite that I'm the oldest cousin and there is nobody my age or within 2 years of me. Still it's fun to see all my cousins, aunts, and uncles that live in different states and aren't usually around much. Theres plenty of games and activitys and you Always know what to do because my grandma planned every second of every day. Seriously. We often had to cancel activitys because we were halfway through one when the other was supposed to start. Or we were starting to enjoy it when the other started. Or it took to long to get to the place we were going. Some of the best parts of the reunion were when there was nothing planned so we did whatever we wanted. We played games,went repelling at Camp Williams for my grandpas birthday, watched hours of youtube vidoes that we all showed eachother, played sports, sang music, listened to music, danced to music, and I showed my cousins the best card/tabletop game I have ever played. Whenever we get Irrigation, it fills up the bowl in our backyard with about 2 feet of water. It's way fun!

Bear Lake 2010

Hello everybody. This year for week-long scout camp, the teachers and the deacons went to Bear Lake together (as is the tradition to do so every two years in our ward). I can honestly say that this was the best week-long i've gone to yet. I was able to complete some merit badges, complete the mile swim (with many not-mentioned complecations), and have a lot of time to hang out with my Varsity team. I would tell more but its mostly just inside jokes you wouldn't get so I'm going to show some of my best pictures (my mom let me take our nice family camera for photography).

FINALLY!

SCHOOL IS OUT FOR THE YEAR! I can honestly say that I'm not sure if I'm any smarter than when I started the year. Middle school can do that for you. The only things for sure that I got out of 9th grade were no extra friends then I started with, an award for being the best in my technology class (not really sure why), an award for getting a 3.7 or higher in all of my middle school years (I homeschooled my 8th grade year so I don't know why I got that one either), a bottle of Sprite, and a 9th grade day at Lagoon. That happened today. We did the typical stuff, me and my friends went to all the rides (the Samurai was the best), ate lunch, nothing special. It was fun. I don't remember any other details.

Sorry if anybody thought that was too brief. This is a day later. I had just gotten home and was really tired. Everything above is true except that I am about to list more stuff about Lagoon. The Samurai really was the best. Despite popular belief, it is NOT as scary as it looks. It felt kinda like the Spider on steriods,  a roller coaster with the motion of the Space  Scrambler. When we went there, it was having it's 'Student Day Special' so all of the kiddie rides were closed (including the Zoo Train) and there were about 3 or more school districts there so there were some long waits. Minus the kiddie rides, we went on just about everything else except the Rocket, Rattle Snake Rapids, and the Jetstar 2 because the wait was too long. The bottle of Sprite was when we were leaving, I was dying of thirst, and I couldn't see any drinking fountains. Only this vending machine. I thought that my not dying was worth $2.50. Things are so overpriced there! The $5 Footlongs were $7!

Miracles

Two new things I neeed to record for posteritys sake.
1. My cat had kittens today. It looks about 3 of them. We have to many cats already so please if anybody would take them please comment and say you would. Please do. They're adorable.
2. If you would look at my last post, would would be reading about ahat will be known as THE GREAT COOKIE PROJECT!  It was extremly successful. We raised about $4,550. Thank you to everyone that participated in the giving. We gave them the money today and they cried and thanked us over and over again for about a half-hour. Spirtual Experiences all around.

COOKIES!!!

This is something my mom came up with. It's pretty self-explanitory.

Two families in our Bluffdale area have recently suffered devastating medical setbacks.  One family has already made a pilgrimage to the Mayo Clinic, and the second is trying to prepare to go. One is a young mother of 5 whose stomach has stopped functioning, and she needs to get there as soon as possible. It could make all the difference.
We love these families and don't want to just watch them suffer; we want to do whatever we can to help.
Graciously, the Lofthouse cookie company has donated a generous amount of soft and scrumptious pink sugar cookies to our cause.  We are so excited and are so grateful to them!
We are hoping to exchange these cookies at a rate of $5 per box (slightly more than store prices), with every penny passed on to these sweet families.


A little from all of us will make a huge difference to them!

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

              Not much has happened recently. I finished my third quarter of school. I passed with straight A's. I finished the first half of my BYU math class. I got an A-. I went to the Court of Honor last night. I got my last three requireds and the Scuba Diving merit badge. I read the last Fable Haven. It was well written. The ending was full of pointless drama though. There was a lot of pointless romance that diddn't fit with the rest of the series. I'm good with life right now. I'm content and peaceful.
